Delta state Marks One-Year Anniversary of Confidence Sisters with Grand Charity Outreach
By EgbemaVoice,
Agbarah Town in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State came alive as the Confidence Sisters celebrated their one-year anniversary with a remarkable display of love, unity, and humanitarian service.
The anniversary celebration was marked by heart-touching charity activities aimed at uplifting the less privileged and vulnerable members of society. The group organized street feeding across parts of the community, distributed food items including bags of rice and wrappers to elderly women, and visited an orphanage home with essential supplies. Cooked meals and drinks were shared generously, while members also paid visits to hospital patients to render assistance and offer comfort to those in pain.
At the heart of the impactful initiative is the President and CEO, Rita Aluya, fondly described by many as “a woman with a heart of gold.” Her passion for helping both those near and far has continued to inspire many women and youths within and beyond the community. Under her leadership, the group has created opportunities for new members while sustaining a strong support system for existing ones.
The event was graced by respected Urhobo traditional chiefs, women leaders, and youths who commended the group for its selfless service and commitment to community development.
The celebration also featured cultural displays and a lively dancing
competition, where winners went home with prizes. A portrait was presented to the Patron in appreciation of unwavering support, while elderly women received special gifts as part of the outreach. The cutting of the anniversary cake added colour and excitement to the memorable gathering.
The one-year milestone of the Confidence Sisters stands as a testament to compassion, unity, and purposeful leadership in Agbarah Town.
