The Deputy President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Comrade Freedom E. Atigbi, has been appointed Deputy Zonal Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, South-South Zone.
The City Boy Movement, a political mobilization platform recently launched to galvanize grassroots support for the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is steadily expanding its structure across the country, with key appointments aimed at strengthening its regional operations.
Atigbi’s appointment comes just days after he formally withdrew from the presidential race of the IYC, citing the need to support a smooth transition process. His decision followed consultations and appeals from respected leaders and stakeholders within the Ijaw nation.
Observers describe the development as a strategic political realignment, positioning the youth leader within a broader national mobilization framework ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle.
