Apostle Amb.Kukuri Benjamin aka Ebis from Warri North Local Government Area made the appeal on behalf of other disqualified aspirants in Warri, Delta State.
The aspirants warned that unresolved grievances could weaken the party's unity and affect it's performance in the 2027 elections in Delta State.
He said that some of the disqualified aspirants were qualified, met all the conditions and yet were disqualified because of the party's preferred candidates.
Amb. Kukuru noted that despite meeting all the requirements for the primary election that himself and other aspirants were disqualified without a clear explanation.
The lack of communication from the committee for their disqualification, he said has fueled anger and suspicion among those who expected a fair process after investing time and resources into their campaigns.
The disqualified aspirants alleged that the party choose preferred candidates behind closed doors instead of allowing all aspirants to participate in free , fair and credible primaries
Amb. Kukuru called on APC, Delta State chapter and the working committee to come out openly and explain the reasons for their disqualification.
He said the party owes the public the duty of addressing the issue directly rather than remaining silent.
According to him, the disqualification of some aspirants has created frustration across the state with many aspirants questioning the sincerity of the party's commitment to internal democracy, adding that some aspirants described the process as a way of sidelining qualified contenders to favour a selected few.
He said crises caused by the disqualification threatens to deepen divisions within the APC in Delta State with aspirants feeling disenfranchised, saying that the fallout could weaken the party's structure and affect it's chances in the general election.
The aspirants said APC's national directed that where consensus fails , that the party should conduct direct primaries but the Delta State working committee according to them ignored the directives and instead imposed candidates, sidelining the aspirants who were qualified to contest.
They appealed to Governor Oborevwori to step in and convene a meeting with all disqualified aspirants and settle the crises for the interest of the party and it's members.
