For many years, Opuama Town in Egbema Kingdom, Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, faced significant security challenges due to its riverine location. Emergency responses often took hours because security personnel had to travel from distant locations such as Koko and Warri.
Today, that narrative has changed. With the establishment and full operation of the Opuama Police Station, security personnel are now stationed within the community. This development ensures faster response to emergencies, theft, boat attacks, and other security concerns affecting residents.

The Opuama Police Station did not emerge by chance. The facility was built and furnished through the commitment, vision, and tireless efforts of a distinguished son of the community, Hon. Emmanuel Omoko (popularly known as Alhaji), with the support of Opuama community leadership.
