NIGER DELTA YOUTH LEADER MINGO MESHACH SAYAMI OGUMAKA MOURNS FALLEN SPIRITUAL ICON; AJAKURAMA DECLARES THREE DAYS OF MOURNING AS IJAW NATION WEEPS

The Niger Delta Youth Leader, Comrade Mingo Meshach Sayami Ogumaka, popularly known as KingdomVoice, has expressed profound grief over the passing unto Glory of his spiritual father and the revered King of Zion, His Eminence Archbishop Prophet Dr. Lucky Amakporowei Kerenkerenwei, MBE, MDDEZ, Okirigbongbontiti Udenbini Ukulaweiduwei, the Ogeja King Waremótei, of the Cherubim and Seraphim Healing Ministries, Awanba National Headquarters, Awanba Community, Warri North Local Government Area, Delta State.

His Eminence passed peacefully unto Glory on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026, leaving behind a profound vacuum in the lives of his family, church members, spiritual sons and daughters, the Ajakurama community, Egbema Kingdom, the Ijaw Nation and the wider Niger Delta.

Comrade Mingo described the late Archbishop as a spiritual father, a great tree of wisdom, a man of prayer, a pillar of strength and an uncommon servant of God whose influence transcended the walls of his church.

“OPU TEEN KOROMO” — A GREAT TREE HAS FALLEN

According to Comrade Mingo, the death of the Ogeja King represents a painful chapter in the history of Ajakurama, Egbema Kingdom and the Niger Delta.

Opu tein koromo-tei  — the big tree has fallen. The region is in tears. Our hearts are heavy, the creek is mourning, and families are crying. We have lost not just a spiritual leader, but a father whose prayers, counsel, support and presence brought hope to many.

He said the contributions of His Eminence to Egbema Kingdom were immeasurable and would remain permanently etched in the hearts of the people.

His support during the recent delineation exercise remains fresh in the memories of the people, while his prayers, encouragement and commitment to the progress and unity of the people continue to speak even in his absence.

Comrade Mingo further noted that the late Archbishop's relationship with his church members went beyond the pulpit, stressing that many of those who benefited from his fatherly care, prayers and support are today struggling to come to terms with his departure.

AJAKURAMA DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE DECLARES THREE DAYS OF MOURNING

In honour of the departed spiritual father and hero, the Ajakurama Development Initiative (ADI) has declared three days of mourning in recognition of his immense contributions and the impact he made during his lifetime.

Comrade Mingo said the decision reflects the depth of the loss and the place His Eminence occupied in the hearts of the Ajakurama people.

“ANOTHER BOOK HAS OPENED”

For Comrade Mingo, the passing of the Ogeja King marks another painful chapter in the continuing story of loss experienced by Ajakurama and the Ijaw Nation.

“Another book has opened,” he said, describing the death as another painful blow to a people who have continued to lose inspirational fathers, traditional rulers, spiritual leaders and community icons.

He lamented that the Ijaw Nation mourns an icon, while the Niger Delta stands still in sorrow as one of its great spiritual voices bows out.

“MOTE WARE KULE” — GO AND GREET YOUR ANCESTORS

In an emotional farewell, Comrade Mingo paid tribute to the departed souls who preceded His Eminence, saying:

“Mote ware kule — go and greet your ancestors.”

He called on the departed Ogeja King to salute the revered ancestors and inspirational souls who had gone before him, including:

HRM Ubula Edward, HRM Isaac A. Thikan, HRM Gold Tiemo, HRM Pere Meshack Ubabiri, King of Zion Ajama, King of Zion Bologun, King of Prophet Wolo Isanmi, Comrade Samson Funpuwei, Chief Ebitebela, and other departed fathers and heroes whose legacies continue to live in the memories of their people.

A FATHER IN THE DOKIRI DYNASTY

Comrade Mingo described His Eminence as a father in the Dokiri Dynasty, a man whose spiritual influence, counsel and prayers touched generations.

He said the late Archbishop's departure has created a vacuum that cannot easily be filled.

Ogeja King, your contributions to Egbema Kingdom are unmeasurable. Your prayers are still fresh in our memories. Your support remains deeply appreciated. Your voice may have gone silent, but your legacy will continue to speak.

IJAW NATION IN MOURNING

The Niger Delta Youth Leader called on the Ijaw Nation, Egbema Kingdom, Ajakurama and all those who knew and loved the late Archbishop to preserve his legacy of faith, service, unity and humanity.

He said the mourning is not only for the death of a man, but for the departure of a generation of wisdom, spiritual strength and fatherly leadership.

“Our hearts are weeping. The creek is mourning. Children and wives are crying. Ajakurama is mourning. Egbema is mourning. The Ijaw Nation is mourning. The Niger Delta is mourning.”

FAREWELL, KING OF ZION

His Eminence Archbishop Prophet Dr. Lucky Amakporowei Kerenkerenwei, Ogeja King Waremutei — you have fought the good fight and finished your earthly course.

Sleep on, King of Zion.

Sleep on, spiritual father.

Sleep on, great tree of wisdom.

Sleep on, Ogeja King.

Your physical presence may have departed, but your prayers, sacrifices, teachings and legacy shall remain alive in the hearts of generations yet unborn.
