Mulade Sheriff Applauds Tinubu’s Approval of Niger Delta Ports Modernisation, Commends Oborevwori’s Peace and Development Efforts

Chief Mulade Sheriff, PhD Candidate for National Democratic Party NDP for Warri Federal Constituency, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for yielding to the appeals from critical stakeholders for including and approving the upgrade and modernisation of the Delta, Onne, Rivers and Calabar Ports, describing the decision as a significant step towards unlocking the maritime economic potential of the Niger Delta region.
Chief Mulade Sheriff particularly welcomed the inclusion of the Delta Port in the modernisation initiative, noting that the project holds enormous opportunities for Warri Federal Constituency, Delta State and the wider Niger Delta region.
He commended President Tinubu for recognising the strategic importance of the nation’s maritime infrastructure and taking steps towards strengthening the Blue economy operational activities, attracting maritime investments and positioning Nigeria as a critical maritime hub in Africa.
According to him, the modernisation of the Delta Port particularly Warri seaport is critical if sincerely and genuinely implemented beyond political smokescreen project ahead of the general elections will serve more than just infrastructure project; but will holistic represents an enormous opportunities to stimulate commercial activities, attract employment opportunities, create empowerment for businesses and improve the economic fortunes for Warri and environs.
He asserted that, given Warri with its strategic maritime location and economic activities, it's stands to attract and benefit significantly from the successful implementation of the project.
The Warri Federal Constituency, House of Representatives hopeful Chief Mulade Sheriff, PhD thanks and expressed appreciation to the executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for creating an enabling environment, stability and sustainable peace in Delta State that is necessary to boost economic infrastructural activities and urged the governor to equally extend its infrastructural development projects to riverine communities who are the major stakeholders to the Warri port development operations to equally feel the impact of the state government developmental projects in the upland of the state.
He stressed that sustainable development requires critical partnership and collaboration between various organs of government, private sectors and host communities, adding that the people of Warri Federal Constituency must be deliberately and adequately considered in the developmental opportunities for sustainable peace, stability and collaborative partnership that will emerge from the port modernisation project.
He strongly appealed for local communities stakeholders inclusive participation, youth employment, develop critical infrastructure, enhanced improved security that will attract and support industries that will restore warri lost economic glory.
As the 2027 general elections draw closer on daily basis, Chief Mulade Sheriff called for greater development policies to attract attention that will metamorphosis into critical and tangible improvement beyond ethnic sentiment in Warri Federal Constituency.
He maintained that the future of Warri Federal Constituency must be built on a sustainable platform of peace, unity, quality representation, economic growth opportunities, improved infrastructure and inclusive development beyond politics and ethnic sentiment.
He concluded and reaffirmed his commitment, as the NDP Candidate for Warri Federal Constituency hopeful, to championing people's oriented development initiatives and policies to reposition Warri Federal Constituency as a major economic and maritime hub in the Niger Delta.
The NDP candidate deeply appreciate and expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for yielding to calls by critical stakeholders across Niger Delta and as a listening leader for including the Warri seaport and others in the region into the upgrade and modernisation, he added.
