NDP Warri Federal Constituency Candidate Pledges Development, Unity and Peace

Chief Sheriff Blessing Mulade, the National Democratic Party (NDP) candidate for Warri Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, has paid a consultation visit to the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, seeking the monarch’s royal blessings and support for his political aspiration.

Mulade, who is the Ibesorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and a UN Peace Ambassador, said his ambition to represent the people of Warri Federal Constituency at the National Assembly was driven by his commitment to promoting development, unity and peaceful coexistence across the constituency.

Speaking during the visit, the NDP candidate pledged to pursue initiatives aimed at accelerating economic development and infrastructure renewal in the area if elected.

Among his priorities, he identified the revival and completion of the abandoned Escravos Free Trade Zone project and efforts towards the resuscitation of the Koko Seaport, describing both projects as important to the economic prospects of the region.

Mulade also pledged to promote stronger peaceful relations among the Ijaw, Urhobo and Itsekiri communities across the Warri metropolis, stressing that unity, mutual respect and cooperation among the various ethnic groups remain important to sustainable development.

He appealed to voters across Warri South, Warri South-West and Warri North Local Government Areas to support his candidacy, assuring them of his commitment to representing their interests and advancing development within the constituency.

OLU OF WARRI RECEIVES MULАDE

Responding, the Olu of Warri, His Royal Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, who received the NDP candidate alongside members of his Council of Chiefs, described Mulade as qualified and capable of representing the people of Warri Federal Constituency.

The monarch described Mulade as a detribalised Deltan who has demonstrated commitment to peace and unity in the Warri area, particularly through initiatives such as football tournaments designed to bring young people and communities together.

The Olu of Warri subsequently offered prayers for Mulade and members of his entourage, asking God to bless his political aspiration and provide the resources and opportunities required to accomplish his objectives.

The visit formed part of Mulade’s ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
