Tarakiri problem didn't start today and on the 9th day of November 1970, the Midwest Military Government sent People from Benin city to Patani to hear from their King and Elders.
Now isn't that what a responsible Government ought to do??
Today they wait for the crisis to Come first or they invite people to transport to Asaba up and down.
Which is easier?? For Government to come down from Asaba to Patani to hear from everyone involved, or to invite them to Asaba after much brouhaha??

In our Urhobo Version, Tarakiri was not his real name . His name in Benin was Oaghwa, ( which means he is at home).
His Father's name was "ASENE" or "ASINI".
Because they quarreled with the Oba and fled Benin , initially to Aboh , their names kept being corrupted or changed. This was what happened in the Bible when Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were taken from Israel to Babylon, they became Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego.
When the Gospel left Israel to Rome, Saul became Paul and Peter became Cephas
Today Nana of Itsekiri is what we know, but his original name was Eriomala.

So Oaghwa was known as Tarakiri in Ijaw country and it was there he gave birth to Ughelli ( Ogelle).
Oaghwa later became corrupted to Oroghwa, Eroghwa, Owhoghwa, Oruwa, Orua, e.t.c
The ancient headquarters of the Tarakiri clan was Oruwa or Orua.
Before the advent of British Colonialism all Kings or Headmen of Ogor, Ughelli, and Agbarha otor, WERE BURIED IN THE OBA'S PALACE IN BENIN.
They were the Only Kings in the Whole of this Delta area, that their bodies are taken to Benin for Burial. If you need the evidence I will give it to you. And it is the OBA that usually send emissaries from BENIN to bring their bodies to BENIN , not us taking them there of our own Accord
And in Benin , they were Buried right there IN THE OBA'S PALACE.
WHY?? BECAUSE THEIR ANCESTORS ASINI AND OAGHWA ( TARAKIRI) Where not ordinary Benin people, they were from the Benin Royal family.
